Bio
Raymond Bureau is the Assistant Athletic Director for Sports Information at Trinity Baptist College, a role he has held since 2015. He serves as the “Voice of the Eagles” for all livestream game broadcasts, a duty which has garnered him high praise from fan and foe alike. He is also responsible for maintaining the TBCeagles.com website by writing game recaps and updating stats.
Bureau worked his way through college at WPDQ Radio in Orange Park, Florida, where he received training in broadcasting; announcing; and writing copy for sports, news, weather reports, and commercials. He worked four years in radio while earning a bachelor's degree in English and composition from the University of North Florida. He has written for a number of sports websites, including Yahoo! Contributor, Sports Injury Alert, and VAVEL USA. Raymond is also a former contributor for In the Game High School Sports Magazine. He also announces play-by-play and public address for NCAA Division 1 Jacksonville University and the University of North Florida. From 2023-2024 he also worked as a live stats stringer for MiLB's Triple-A Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp.
Raymond has previously produced sports talk shows and hosted a weekly MLB radio call-in show. His favorite teams are the Chicago Cubs, New York Yankees, and Dallas Cowboys.
As a youngster growing up in North Florida, Raymond played baseball and soccer and played drums in the marching, symphonic, and jazz bands for Clay High School in Green Cove Springs, Florida. He later spent eight years as head varsity and junior high baseball coach for Orange Park Christian Academy and two years as a junior high assistant baseball coach at Trinity Christian Academy. He also coached his son Dean throughout Little League.
Bureau has a masters degree in distance education from the University of Phoenix and is a full-time teacher at Trinity Christian Academy, where he also serves as the livestream/radio play-by-play announcer for football and baseball.
Raymond is a devoted husband, father, and Christ follower. His wife Beth and son Dean are the prides of his earthly life. Beth is a biology and anatomy teacher at Stanton College Preparatory School in Jacksonville and a graduate of Fletcher High School and the University of North Florida. Dean is a graduate of Trinity Christian Academy and the University of North Florida.
