Men’s Soccer: Eagles End Regular Season at Home vs. Pensacola Christian

TBC Eagles Men's Soccer ended the regular season on the home field against I-10 rival Pensacola Christian College. TBC got a late goal from Odanci Aj-Ndayisaba, but #4 Pensacola Christian already had a big lead and won 5-1.

Ndayisaba played in only his second game of the season due to injury. In Minute 79, he took a long pass from Gabriel Guzman (assist) from the back field, drove up the middle of the pitch through three defenders into the box, and fired a shot into the left side of the goal.

This goal comes after Ndayisaba notched a pair of assists in his season debut at Andrew College on Monday.

TBC goalkeeper Mason Lambert saved 14 of 19 shots on goal faced, and the defense blocked 5 more. Lambert was his usual stellar self, making several dives on shots and punches on corner kicks to keep balls out of the net. Two of the goals, however, came on rebounds after diving saves, and another came on a penalty kick after a handball violation inside the box.

Ndayisaba played 71 minutes in his second game and took three shots with two of them on goal. Marcus Oxendine, Ashton Karney, and Dawson Gregg all took shots, and Oxendine's was on goal.

Pensacola Christian got goals from five different men, including Chase Hawkins on the PK for his first of the season, and Jackson Clarke's team-leading sixth.

The regular season has ended for the TBC Eagles, and they will now prepare for the NCCAA Division 2 South Region Tournament. The games will begin on November 7 at Pensacola Christian College. Seeding and scheduleing are still to be determined.
