Men’s Soccer: Season Ends in Semifinal, Three Eagles Make All-Region

TBC Eagles Men's Soccer saw its season end in the South Region Semifinal with Pensacola Christian College on Thursday. Jason Campbell scored late to make himself the team scoring leader, but Pensacola Chrisitan got two goals from each of three different players on route to the 6-1 win.

Christopher Dickey sent a corner kick in front of the goal in Minute 71. Ethan McCardle and Ashton Karney both assisted the goal by getting the ball to Campbell, who knocked it into the net.

The goal was Campbell's 8th of the season, which led the Eagles, and the assists were the 1st for McCardle and 5th for Karney.

Lambert is Top 10 in Three Categories

Goalkeeper Mason Lambert saved 8 on Thursday, bringing his season total to 85, which is 3rd in NCCAA Division 2 as of the close of play. His saves percentage of .739 is 9th, and his 7.08 saves per game is 6th.

Karney, Dickey, Guzman Make All-Region

Ashton Karney was named to the 2024 All-South Region First Team, and Gabriel Guzman and Christopher Dickey earned Second-Team Honors.

Karney was second in TBC scoring with 7 goals and led with 5 assists and 19 total points.

Guzman and McCardle were recognized for their defensive play as they made things difficult on opposing attackers all season. Guzman also scored 2 goals, and one was a game winner. McCardle had an assist.

The 2024 season has ended, and most of the roster expects to return next year. With new talent coming in, the Eagles look to build on a season that saw three straight wins to open the schedule, close battles with NAIA opponents, and exciting play within the region. The Eagles look to contend for a South Region title in 2025.
