Women's Soccer: Bido, Rife Each Score Twice in Win at Wesleyan

Gina Bido and Lucy Rife each scored twice for the second time in three games as TCJ Women's Soccer defeated NCAA Division 3 Wesleyan College 4-1 on Tuesday in Macon, Georgia. The duo got assists from four different teammates in the win, and the Eagles remained undefeated through their first three games. 

The two Eagles alternated goals with Bido getting her first in Minute 5 with the assist from Camila Lopez. Rife followed midway through the first half with her third goal of the season thanks to a pass received from Katianna Grace

In between came Wesleyan's lone tally, a successful penalty kick in Minute 7 shortly after Bido's first score of the night.

The Eagles went right back to work in the second half. Bido connected again (Ayla Buckley assist) in Minute 35 for her second goal of the night and fourth of the season.

Rife, not to be outdone, took a pass from Kira Goodwin and put the Eagles ahead 4-1.

No further scoring occured.

Three Eagles shared time in goal with Taylor McCrory working the first half to earn the win. McCrory saved 4 of the 5 shots on goal faced before giving way to Grace to start the second half.

Grace worked 30 minutes, saving the only shot on goal she faced, and Olivia Raysick did the same in her 15 minutes to close out the game.

Trinity outshot Wesleayn 25 to 6, and 10 of those 25 TCJ shots were on goal. Rife put 5 of 6 shots on goal, and Bido put 2 of 4 on goal. Buckley fired off 3 shots (1 on goal) while McCrory and Grace each took 2 shots with 1 on goal. Goodwin and Lopez also took aim for the Eagles. 

Trinity will alternate home and away for the next four games beginning with Brewton-Parker College at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 5. A trip to Polk State College follows on September 13 before facing Warner University at home and traveling to Pasco-Hernando State College on September 16 and 19, respectively.
